Many of our best stories start with a message from someone inside a lab, a company, an agency or a hospital. If you know something we should look into, we want to hear from you.
What helps
- Be specific. Names, dates, documents and trial numbers help us check what you tell us.
- Tell us how you know. Did you see it, or did someone tell you? Both are useful, and we treat them differently.
- Tell us if you need to stay anonymous. We protect our sources. We have never named one who asked us not to.
Pitching Second Opinion
We publish essays from clinicians, researchers, patients and caregivers. Send a short pitch (three or four sentences on your argument and why you are the person to make it) and an editor will reply within a week.
Corrections
Found a mistake? Tell us which story and what is wrong. An editor reads every request, and we correct errors in public.
How to reach us
Reply to any Bedside newsletter and it goes straight to the editors. For anything sensitive, ask for a secure way to talk and we will set one up.
